PROGRAMME NOTES FOR COLCHESTER

A Happy New Year to all supporters and those involved with our Football Club

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT
The New Year starts for us with the major announcement that the Supporters Club, after working with the Football Club for the past 18 months, will now be taking sole responsibility for the operation of the scratch card lottery.

Roger Bunce Chairman of the Supporters Club and its lottery promoter says:-

"Adding the scratch cards to our existing fund raising initiatives will give us a great opportunity to further develop our aims of financial support for both the Football Club and its centre of excellence in the coming months.

We are delighted that the Football Club hold our previous fund raising efforts, with sufficient regard, to trust us with total control of this scheme.

I am lucky to have an existing number of hardworking and enthusiastic agents who are an inspiration in supporting the football club and who are also able to sell the tickets with amazing speed. Like all of these things, I am sure there are others out there who would like to help and I would be pleased to hear from other supporters or organisations who would like to get involved. You can contact me on 01865 820499 or see me in winners lounge before home matches, for further details.

At present our agents are able to claim 10% commission on all sales as well as 10 % commission on all prize winning tickets where the prize is £10 or more and I am pleased to say this will continue

I see no conflict with the present half time draw, pounds for points sponsorship or indeed the transfer fund operated jointly with Trust STFC, as the purchasers of scratch cards will often be, not just those who attend the County Ground, but also those who may share work or social contact with our fans.

This is a great opportunity for the Supporters Club and fans to do a little more to help. I can assure you that every little bit, does really help. I hope you can "

HALF TIME DRAW
The winning tickets for today's game and also the Brentford game will be included in our next programme notes..
