PROGRAMME NOTES FOR GILLINGHAM
ROBINS REVIVAL HALF TIME DRAW
Roger Bunce Chairman of the Supporters Club would like to
thank all those that took part in the last draw when we played
Doncaster where we reached our 100000th ticket sold.
Roger says " there was a fantastic response from fans and the figure of £464 , was not only the highest prize of the season, but also the 9th highest on record and the third highest ever, in the 150 draws for a mid season league game. "
The winning cash prize of that £464 went to Sally Carter from Swindon.
Second prize of a VIP day out for two at the County Ground is still to be claimed - the winning ticket was 560.
The third prize of the away shirt was won by Helen Weedon of Carterton and her ticket number was 571.
At the previous mid week match against Walsall , the winning ticket drawn was held by a first time purchaser Mr Terry V Herzberger from Ohio U S A, who was attending A Town match for the very first time, we believe. His ticket number 537 paid £307 or should that be 515 in U S dollars.
Can we now claim to be running an International competition ?
POUNDS FOR POINTS
Ten points since the turn of the year (up to last Saturday)
has given a boost of over £500 to the youth development fund. We
hope that with the efforts of Iffy and the rest of the team it
will not be long before we cruise through the £2000 barrier
PROVISIONAL ADVANCE DATE FOR YOUR DIARIES
The Vale and West Oxon Supporters group are planning to hold
their next meeting at Hanney Royal British Legion on Wednesday 22nd
March 8pm start.
It is hoped that both Iffy and Sandy Gray will be present to answer questions and socialise with fans. All welcome. Full details will be confirmed later.
JOAN GLEAVE
It is with regret that we announce that Joan passed away last
month after a short illness. Joan always championed the cause
of Swindon Town and was a willing helper to all of the
Supporters groups. She will be greatly missed by her family,
friends and the fans that she sat with in the Nationwide Stand.
