RED ARMY FUND
We were as delighted as any fan, that recent loan signing Michael Procter scored in his first match for Swindon following his loan signing from Rotherham. The Red Army fund facilitated this short term transfer and we all should be grateful to the fans and businesses who made contributions to the fund,.allowing this to happen.
Don't forget, one signing was not our aim, we would like to be able to help with further incursions in the area of signings, but it cannot be done without Fans support.
Both the Supporters Club and our partner in administering the fund, TrustSTFC, welcome further contributions from fans, however small. Further details may be found on each organisations own web site.
Nigel Bennett from the supporters club said : "The Supporters Club were delighted to be involved in the lauch of the Red Army fund in conjunction with TrustSTFC, and are pleased that the level of support from fans has now enabled the Football Club to sign Michael Proctor for the next month. Initiatives like The Red Army fund can only be for the good of the Football Club and we hope that continued support from the fans will allow more signings in the future."
Tony Norris, chairman of
TrustSTFC commented "We are delighted to have been able to
help the club sign a player at what is obviously a key time of
the season for Swindon Town, as we push towards the play-offs.
This is exactly what we set up the Red Army Fund for and we'd
like to thank all the fans and local businesses who have
contributed to the fund for making this possible." Bob Holt,
director of STFC, added "This is a great example of fans and
the club working together to achieve what we all want to see -
success on the pitch".
