SUPPORTERS CLUB ANNOUNCE CONTINUED SPONSORSHIP OF SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE FOR 2003/04

Roger Bunce and Ann Alder of the Swindon Town Supporters Club Committee are pictured above presenting a cheque for £5,000 to Youth Development Officer, Jimmy Fraser, as the Supporters Club start their third consecutive season sponsoring the Club's School of Excellence.
Roger commented " We are really pleased that once again we are able to support youth development at the Football Club. Our ongoing support confirms the part, we believe, that youth development schemes will have on the long- term future success at Swindon Town.
We have all been heartened to see home grown players breaking into the first team recently and if that talent comes from the local area then we do really feel we are giving something back to the local community.
This sponsorship would not of course been possible without the support we have had from our membership, other supporters of Swindon Town and of course my willing band of helpers. The Supporters Club have
introduced a new latest initiative that will give further help to
the School of Excellence - the Sponsor a Point Scheme . Jimmy said: “The efforts
made by the Swindon Town Supporters Club to help the youth set up
here are nothing short of fantastic. This latest scheme is a
great idea and I hope people will back it.”
